Hillsborough Fire District companies, along with tankers from Readington and Montgomery #1, participated in a water supply drill Thursday September 29. Initial water flow to Ladder 38 was provided by a nurse tanker nursing which was subsequently transitioned to a dump site and tanker shuttle operation. Engine 37 provided primary water supply to Ladder 38, Engine 38 provided water transfer, Engine 36 operated as the fill engine. Five tankers (36, 38, 48, 45, 32) provided water at a rate of 300-400 GPM during nurse operations and increased to just over 1000 GPM average during shuttle with a peak flow of about 1500 GPM. Everyone worked very well to achieve the goals.
